Three-bedroom Reunion condos for a Thanksgiving golf trip

Balcony view over a fairway and green at Reunion Resort golf course in Kissimmee, Florida, on a clear November afternoon

Here's the short version: we manage 24 places in Reunion, and the three-bedroom condos are where your money goes furthest over a Thanksgiving week. Most of them sleep six, most of them look out over a fairway, and all of them have a kitchen big enough to cook a turkey in rather than a hotel room with a microwave. Rates for late November depend on the dates, the length of stay and how early you ask, so the under-$150 question gets answered with a live quote rather than a number on a page. Ask us for one and we'll price your exact nights, with the best rate guaranteed when you book direct with us.

The more important thing to sort out first is the golf, because it does not work the way most people assume.

Sort the tee times before you book the condo

Reunion has 54 holes across three signature courses: Arnold Palmer's Legacy, Tom Watson's Independence, and Jack Nicklaus's Tradition. They are the reason you're looking at Reunion rather than anywhere else within half an hour of Disney, and in 2021 Golf Digest put them among the best golf resorts in Florida.

Here is the part that catches golfers out. Our listings are rentals inside the gated community, and under the current guest rental policy, access to the resort's golf courses, tennis courts and waterpark is not included with the condo. Guests do get a pool access card for the eight resort pools and the fitness center, plus the restaurants and bars. For tee times, our guests typically check GolfNow for availability, and the resort publishes a tee time line at 407.396.3199. Call before you lock in your dates, confirm what's bookable over the holiday week, and then choose the condo. Thanksgiving is one of the busiest golf weeks of the Florida year, and the tee sheet is the constraint, not the bed count.

If that reshapes the trip, it's better to know now than on the Wednesday afternoon.

Four three-bedroom condos worth comparing

All four of these are in Reunion, all four have three bedrooms and sleep six, and all four have a full kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, and Wi-Fi. That's where the similarity ends, and the differences are the ones that decide a golf trip.

Golf Course View | 3BR | $50 Theme Park Credit sits in Heritage Crossing, on the ground floor, looking at the 11th green of the Palmer course. Two terraces, both with the course in front of them, and two pools within walking distance. Ground floor matters more than people expect when you're loading and unloading clubs twice a day. The layout is a king, a queen and a room with two full beds across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so a foursome plus spouses works, four unrelated adults sharing bathrooms slightly less so. There's a gym in the building and a hot tub, which is the thing you want after 36 holes.

Lux Golf-View Condo w/ $50 Theme Park Credit is the one to look at if bathrooms are the sticking point. Every bedroom has its own, the condo is on the first floor with a double patio over the 11th and 12th of the Watson course, and the kitchen has granite counters and full-size stainless appliances, which is to say you can genuinely cook Thanksgiving dinner in it rather than assembling one. A Pack 'n Play and high chair come at no extra charge, so a family travelling with a baby doesn't have to pack the bulky things.

3BR Golf View w/ $50 Theme Park Credit is also Heritage Crossing, second floor with elevator, two king bedrooms and a third with two full beds. Two furnished balconies again, and two Heritage Crossing pools within walking distance. Worth knowing before you plan the holiday meal: no BBQ grills are permitted at the condos, so the turkey happens in the oven.

And then the one we'd point most groups to first.

The corner unit, and why we'd start there

Golf Condo w/ Pools and $50 Park Credit is a renovated corner condo on the second floor with elevator access, and the corner is the whole point: the balcony wraps around for views of the 14th on the Watson course and the Reunion Grande. It's the largest of this group on paper and the three bedrooms each have their own en-suite, which ends the argument about who gets up first for an early tee time. There's a PlayStation 4 with games, board games in the cupboard, and a Pack 'n Play and high chair at no charge.

Two further things separate it. It's within walking distance of the Reunion Grande and the clubhouse, which means the non-golfers in the party aren't stranded while the car is at the course. And one pet is allowed with prior approval and a pet fee, which is rare enough in this community that it tends to settle the decision for the people it applies to.

If you want a bigger group under one roof, Gathering paradise with golf view and game room is a three-bedroom house in the Homestead division that sleeps eight and has a pool, spa and game room of its own. It's a different kind of stay and prices differently from the condos, but worth a look if your six has become eight.

A quieter bet than Christmas week

Thanksgiving in Reunion is November weather without the New Year crush, and that combination is the reason the golf courses fill. Mornings are cool enough for a jacket on the first tee and the afternoons are shirt-sleeve. Two of these condos, the corner unit and the Watson-view condo, list heating, which sounds absurd in Florida until the morning a cold front comes through.

Disney's main gate is six miles out, somewhere between ten and twenty minutes depending on which park and when you leave. Universal and SeaWorld run around twenty miles up the interstate, roughly half an hour. Orlando International is about half an hour the other way. Celebration, the planned town just north of Reunion, is a short hop for a change of scene. Reunion is gated and quiet, and a car is genuinely worth having: the resort is easy for Uber and Lyft to get in and out of, and there's a shuttle on a first come, first served basis with a per-person charge, but neither replaces having your own keys.

On the rate question, two honest levers. Rates in Reunion move with the calendar, and the week either side of Thanksgiving prices differently from the holiday itself. A Saturday-to-Saturday stay is usually a different proposition from Tuesday-to-Sunday. Tell us the dates you can flex and we'll tell you which ones price best.

What to pin down before you pay

A quick checklist, in the order that actually matters for a golf trip:

  • Tee times first. Confirm what you can book for your dates, through GolfNow or the resort tee line, before you commit to the condo. Golf is not included with the rental.
  • Get a total, not a nightly rate. Ask for the all-in figure for your exact check-in and check-out: that's the only number that tells you whether the trip clears your budget. Nightly rates over a holiday week can be misleading on their own.
  • Check the minimum stay for the Thanksgiving period before you build the flights around it.
  • Count bathrooms, not bedrooms. Two bathrooms works for a family. Three en-suites works for three couples. It is the single biggest difference between these four condos.
  • Book direct with us. Best rate guarantee, and you get a local team rather than a call center: we've been doing this in Greater Orlando for more than twenty years, every home is inspected before you arrive, hotel-grade cleaning between every guest, and support around the clock if something goes sideways at nine on Thanksgiving night.

Send us your dates and how many of you are playing, and we'll come back with what's open, what it costs all in, and which of these condos suits the way your group actually travels.
